Amal Lana
Amal means Hope. Lana means For Us. For four decades, her work has centered on touch, movement, water, and creating spaces where people can simply be held. Born in Southern California to a family of Palestinian refugees whose roots reach back to Jericho, she has been present for five births and five deaths, and has held veterans, cancer survivors, grieving mothers, and healers who forgot they too needed to be held.
- Licensed Massage Therapist
- Aquatic bodyworker
- Water aerobics instructor
- Herbalist
Waves of Hope:
the dream is still becoming
- 1It started on paperFor years she drew this place before she had the space or the means.
- 2Then she built it · 2012–2016A warm saltwater pool in her own garage in Flagstaff. People came. They floated, rested, and connected.
- 3Now she dreams biggerAn Aquatic Healing Retreat Center, where access is not determined only by what someone can afford.
“I want to be able to provide for those who are not able to provide for themselves.”— Amal Lana
